During the summer of 2021, I had the wonderful opportunity to intern at Hearspace, a small company based out of Chicago that specializes in mental health initiatives. They are currently working on a platform that brings communities together with events, articles, and resources. My task as an intern was to tighten up and edit the design of the already existing platform. I learned what it was like to communicate with professionals, write sales decks, design presentations, and meet deadlines efficiently. Editing buttons, fields, layouts, and other visual aspects of an already existing platform was new and exciting! I valued this experience greatly.
